Cleverlauncher End of Life Announcement and Next Steps

We would like to inform our customers and partners that Cleverlauncher has reached End of Life (EOL) and will no longer receive software updates or security patches.

This change reflects evolving platform requirements that impact how software can be integrated and distributed on Android EDLA devices. While this was not a decision we took lightly, these changes mean that Cleverlauncher can no longer be supported on Clevertouch devices shipped from June 2026 running Android 15 EDLA and future Android EDLA releases. We remain committed to providing a secure, reliable, and high-quality user experience across our product portfolio.

Existing AOSP and Pre-Android 15 users can continue to use Cleverlauncher as normal*. However, Clevertouch displays running Android 15 EDLA, and future Android EDLA releases are not compatible with Cleverlauncher and will not include it as part of the firmware package.

What This Means for Customers

• Cleverlauncher will no longer receive feature enhancements, bug fixes, or security updates.
• Existing installations will continue to operate on supported hardware*.
• Clevertouch displays running Android 15 EDLA and future Android EDLA releases will not support Cleverlauncher.
• Customers upgrading from Android 13 EDLA to Android 15 EDLA via OTA will retain access* to Cleverlauncher.

We appreciate the feedback and support we have received from customers using Cleverlauncher over the years and thank you for your understanding as we adapt to changing platform requirements.

*Customers who had Cleverlauncher pre-installed on their device and subsequently upgraded from Android 13 EDLA to Android 15 EDLA via an over-the-air (OTA) update will retain Cleverlauncher. To retain Cleverlauncher, the Cleverlive application must be updated to the latest available version before the Android 15 OTA update.  AOSP (Non-EDLA customers are unaffected by these changes)
